Unlike centerless grinding, thread rolling allows the thread to be formed in a given material by a roll with the desired contour in negative. With sufficient pressure, the material is deformed and engraved at the end of the process.

Thread rolling provides a higher thread precision, saving in material economy and reaching much higher productions. In addition, the cold working that takes place in the thread rolling process produces an increase in tensile strength and a better surface finish than that obtained in cutting operations.

The feasibility of this process depends mainly on four factors: the material to be rolled, the profile to be rolled, the machine and the tool. From Burgelu we advise you in the whole process so that you get the best result in thread rolling.
